    Dinosaurs thundered across the open space of Wyoming tens of millions of years before human beings. They're long gone now, but you can see five life-size replicas of these hulking creatures at Western Wyoming Community College in Rock Springs at the WWCC Natural History Museum including this cast of a Tyrannosaurus Rex.

    An antelope near the Green River that flows through Firehole Canyon, south of Rock Springs and Green river, then on south to the Flaming Gorge National Recreation Area that is a mecca for sportsman, campers, hikers, floaters, and anyone who enjoys the outdoors.

    Historically Rock Springs is known as the "Gateway to the West" and our magnificent high desert scenery is punctuated by dramatic rock formations that dot the landscape. The Palisades rock formations just west of Green River.
    Dawn on the self-guided Pilot Butte Wild Horse Scenic Loop Tour, runs on gravel roads for roughly 23 miles starting atop of White Mountain in Green River, Wyoming, and ending in north central Sweetwater County. The wild horse population varies from year to year depending on how many horses the U.S. Department of the Interior rounds up periodically to cull the herd.
