Hospitals, Care Centers Serve Sweetwater County

With a variety of health care options in the community, Sweetwater County residents can enjoy convenient access to hospitals and care centers.

 

Memorial Hospital of Sweetwater County
Making patients the priority for more than a century, Memorial Hospital of Sweetwater County offers a myriad of services such as cardio rehabilitation, dialysis, emergency care and physical therapy.

Serving a 100-mile radius, the not-for-profit hospital provides 99 beds and supplies emergency services for more than 24,000 individuals.

The building recently received renovations and additions, with 64,000 square feet of the hospital updated and 54,000 square feet added to the existing structure. Patients can now enjoy an expanded obstetrics unit, complete with additional private rooms, as well as whirlpool tubs in labor delivery rooms and family nurseries.

Castle Rock Hospital District

This hospital district includes the Castle Rock Medical Center, Castle Rock Ambulance Service and The Villa, a personal care center for the elderly.

The Castle Rock Medical Center supplies community members with a family practice clinic, wellness and rehabilitation services and radiology. Patients have access to four physicians and four physician’s assistants, with additional staff members available as well.

The Castle Rock Ambulance Service provides emergency services seven days a week, 24 hours a day and is comprised of state certified Emergency Medical Technicians. First aid and CPR classes are offered to the public, with an ambulance “show-and-tell” for children available by appointment.

The Villa
Assisting the elderly in safe, comfortable independent living, The Villa gives residents an alternative to typical apartment life.

Located across from the Castle Rock Medical Center, The Villa employs a professional nursing staff available 24 hours a day to provide residents with convenient care.

Residents can choose from furnished or unfurnished apartments and can enjoy sun rooms, activity areas, a dining room and a community living room.

Three meals are provided each day, with laundry and maintenance services available, as well as in-house mail delivery. In addition, The Villa offers barber and beauty services, daily and weekly newspaper deliveries and weekly church services. Organized off-campus activities are also offered.

Sage View Manor
This care center offers residents short-term services as well as long-term care, based on individual needs.

Patients requiring rehabilitation services work with a team, using an individualized treatment program, in order to recover from ailments such as Parkinson’s disease or strokes.

In addition, Sage View Manor includes an Alzheimer’s unit, which is available for individuals with the disease or other forms of dementia. Nutritional counseling, outpatient services, wound care and a variety of medical and specialty services are offered as well.
